Well, 22 days since surgery. I am feeling good and getting stronger everyday. Incision is healed. Walking about 40 minutes a day which for me is great since I hadn't walked much the last few years. The first 2 days after surgery was tough. Now just a distant memory. Got... Read more.

Glad to hear you're doing well! Keep walking, and stand up straight. Hope you're getting some good sleep to heal up. Meredith Holiday, FL

Well tomorrow is my pre-op testing. Have to be at the hospital at 9 AM. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 on the 20th. Check in time is 5:30. Luckily it only takes 15 minutes to the hospital. My sister is going with me while my other sister will be... Read more.

God Bless you! I know first hand on being both a heart surgery patient and an Alzheimer's caregiver. I am hoping you have a very smooth surgery and easy recovery! The preop testing day was more than I had expected, and it took several hours to get it all done.... Read more.

Thank you so much for the kind words. They told me to expect 3-4 hrs for pre-op. That includes the 1 hr class. Surgery has been scheduled for over a month. I am ready!

Praying for Peace for you Christine. It's good you're going to have help with Mom while you focus on yourself. I agree, pre op day took us by surprise and was more than expected.

Thank you all for your kind words. I am suprisingly calm. Pre-op actually was only 2 hrs. The education class was enlightening. It relaxed me even more knowing what to expect. I will update when I can. Thanks all.
