I'm going in to NY Presbyterian on December 8th for my 2nd aortic valve replacement. I'm too young for a TAVR. My first AVR took place in 2012. Can anyone who has been through more than one tell me how their experience was the 2nd time around? Worse, the same, a little better?

Chris Semenuk No, it worked well but just recently started leaking back into my ventricle. My valve lasted 8 years. Surgical valves in younger people do not last as long as they do in older patients.
