I wish I would have discovered your sight prior to surgery . I'm not sure if my procedure is appropriate here. On Aug. 7, 2017 had Pericardectomy at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn ,Il. performed by Dr. Tatooles, for masses and calcification on the pericardium. Had breaking the breast bone, heart/ lung machine drain tubes etc. Post recovery 2 1/2 months out, still sore and at some times painful at chest break, doing cardiac rehab, but at this point I have not run into anybody who has had the full breast bone break? Surprisingly my chest looks like yours in your photos, but I had 4 drain tubes in. Is the soreness in the chest to be expected for up to a year?

Clayton Mcarthur Everyone recovers at a different rate but it sounds like yours was a very extensive procedure and that there is a lot of healing to be done, best wishes for the speediest recovery.
