Thanks for the encouraging worlds. It is nice to hear! I received a call from the surgeons office and we are on for Thursday morning. I am as ready as I'll ever be. I have a great support group here with family and friends and the positive vibes, prayers and encouragement from all my "blog" brothers and sisters is inspiring. Thank you!

Thank you, Bill! Think we are all novices going in! Everyone's experience is a little different but for me, the first week following surgery was honestly harder than I expected. I had never had surgery before and other than the births of my 3 children, had only spent one other night in a hospital. However, the silver lining is after the first week, it was easier than I expected. I expected not to be able to do hardly anything and I found I could do many things. In the 2 1/2 weeks that I have been home, I have went to a football game, attended an open house, went to the state fair, been out to dinner multiple times, baked a birthday cake, and have done many household tasks. I continue to feel better every day. I have had a few setbacks with a-fib which I am taking medication for but hopefully, it is under control and i will be able to get off the meds. Prayers for you tomorrow, Bill! Soon you will be out and about and on the road to recovery. I am 5 weeks post surgery and had my cardiac rehab evaluation today. I will begin next week. Overall, I am feeling very well and I am sure you will be too! Best wishes!
