Hello I am 61 year old guy here in the Detroit area. Had a heart attack in 2005, and two stents were placed at that time. In 2009 had a stress test and they found my stents to be blocked, and were able to to clean them out. On to June of 2011..Started with the same pains across my shoulders and shortness of breath, feeling like 2005 all over again..three or for times..never popping a nitro..immediate denial..my brain kept saying this can not be happening.it is amazing how the denial thing can wash away any reasonable correct thoughts. I have a freind who suffered a stroke, who limps now with very little use of his left arm..I believe to this day he saved my life. I went back to my cardiologist, he immediatley sent me back to the cath lab where they found three of my arteries 90% blocked. 10/26/2011..Cabg triple bypass at St. Johns Hospital Detroit Michigan...Dr.Fouad M. Azoury, MD performed my surgery. Dr. Marc Gosselin my cardio doctor has saved my life now three times. Both of them have told me that if I dont change my lifestyle with diet and excercise..it might not be as easy to save me one more time. It has been exactly one month and a day since my operation. and the only real trouble I have been having is in my right shoulder, and after reading all these wonderful journals, I can see I am not the only one...only thing that seems to help is tylenol 3 and streching out on my recliner...have been trying to move my right arm up and down in and out..thinking I might be able to work it out..going to see cardio doctor on the 2nd of December hopefully to start some physical therapy and talk to others....thank you for reading my story...look forward to hearing your responses...
