About Me (In My Own Words)
Am male, 81, widower, with age related aortic stenosis. Surgery performed 12/99 by Dr. Ott located in Orange, CA. at Saddleback Hospital. Very successful, no complications. He is a very experienced and skilled surgeon. At time of this writing I am in 5th week post-op with good recovery and no complications.
My contribution to this journal is to report my very successful outcome and to relieve concerns of prospective patients. I was initially very concerned and fearful of the procedure of open heart surgery, particularly at my age. But it all went well.
