About Me (In My Own Words)
I had triple by pass surgery. I was feeling tired and light-headed. I was told it was due to my gastric bypass surgery, not my heart. When the chest pains began, they did an angioplasty and told me I needed by pass surgery as soon as possible. I think the hardest thing about the surgery is that I did not know what to expect after it was done. I received all the written work, but when I had shooting pains I did not realize that was normal due to nerve healing. A year later, I go to cardiac rehab one day a week but it is difficult to keep on my food diet and to get the energy to exercise.
