I was diagnosed 11 years ago with a bicuspid aortic valve which met that I just needed to see a cardiologist every year. Well, at this year's visit in June I was told that it was time for the valve to be replaced. After a heart cath and ultra sound it was determined that I am not a candidate for TAVR. I will have an aortic valve replacement as well as an aortic root replacement done by open heart surgery. My wife and I just finished reading Adam's book and learned from it. Thanks Adam! We told Dr. Bethea about reading your book and he said that you had interviewed him. When I told him that his name didn't make it into your book he said he better give you a call. (hahaha)
