About Me

As some of you are aware, I will need to have an aortic valve replacement in my heart with the possibility of a some aortic reinforcement. After speaking with my surgeon and looking at his schedule, the date of operation will be Wednesday December 14th early in the morning. I hope this will go well. I look forward to the likelihood of much greater cardiac capacity after the surgery. I hope to stop the symptoms of quickly tiring when active and recent, more concerning, episodes of dizziness and lightheadedness. I look forward to the possibilities of much greater physical activity in the future. My goals of at least five minutes of relaxed water skiing, three mile runs, unfettered body surfing, extended soccer practice with grandsons and plenty of high country hiking and skiing will help me stay focused during this "pit stop" in my life. I won't say I am not really apprehensive, but I know I have to make this change. Please remind me of my goals throughout my journey.
