About Me (In My Own Words)
Earlier this week, at a follow-up appointment with my cardiologist, I was informed me that it's finally reached the time to schedule a consult with a cardiothoracic surgeon. I've been told that I will need to have the following procedures: replace severely stenotic aortic valve, repair of an ascending aortic aneurysm and lastly, a septal myectomy to address left ventricular hypertrophy/dynamic left ventricular outflow obstruction. I am currently waiting for a call from the surgeon's office to schedule the consult. More information to follow as it becomes available.
