My son and I have Marfan Syndrome. He has a dilated aortic root, I have severe mitral regurgitation causing pulmonary hypertension. Having surgery dec. 1 to repair (hopefully not replace) my mitral valve. I also have a mild leak on my tricuspid valve that the surgeon said he'd 'check on the way out'.
