About Me (In My Own Words)
I am holder of St Jude mechanical valve placed after non successful minimal invasive approach( with intraoperative femoral injury). Early after surgery I developed abnormal ventricular contractions and a clot was discovered in the annulus of the valve 3 months later. Currently not only the clot, but scar tissue and a leak is present. I am heading for additional experts opinion. Medical opinions head towards avoid another surgery but what I don't know what to expect in terms to my realistic situation if the problem is not fixed.
