About Me

I was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis at 55 years old due to Bicuspid Valve. I am now 62. I had remained in a "mild" status until 2012 when it moved to "moderate". To everyone's surprise my studies this year (May 2013) show that the status has moved to "severe". My cardiologist, along with me, was very surprised, but it is what it is. I have always told my doctor that I was holding out for the noninvasive methods of replacement to be common; we will see what happens. I have very minimal symptoms, so we are in a watch closely mode for the time being; however I have been told that on the onset of symptoms or change in echo, we are off on the journey.
