About Me (In My Own Words)
8 years ago I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve, mitral valve prolapse and a dilated aorta after a doctor heard a heart murmur during a routine examination. After a couple of years of close monitoring I went to echocardiograms every 2 years to keep an eye on things and then in December last year there had been some changes so I was told they would repeat the echo in 12 months. 4 months out from that routine echo I started having symptoms of lightheadedness and palpitations and went back to the doc. I now have an appointment for a CT angiogram in 2 weeks and feeling rather anxious about it all.
