My original valve surgery in 1968, was to repair my aortic valve. I was 8 yrs old. At 21 it had major calcification and a Bjork shiley mechanical valve was put in. I have an aortic aneurysm found about 5 yrs ago. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren and i feel very blessed. Never thought i would live this long!!!
