4 1/2 years ago, i had angioplasty and one stent was inserted. was doing ok until early this year. in may, i was told that i have severe aortic stenosis and would need to have my aortic valve replaced. i asked if it could wait until after summer. it's just too hot here and i don't have a/c. i've spent a lot of time in the facebook heart valve surgery support group and noticed that many reported feeling hot all the time after surgery. my cardiologist said yes, it could wait. i'm scheduled for another echo in mid september and will see her the following week. we will probably schedule surgery then. can't wait to get this done. i have too much trouble breathing when doing grocery shopping or even mild housework. i have to put groceries away in stages ... cold and frozen first, then rest for a few hours before putting other things away. sometimes they have to wait for days. bending over makes breathing even harder. i will update after my cardiologist appt.
