About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi there! So I'm 22 and having my aortic valve replaced in two weeks. I was born with a bisucpid aortic valve and always knew it would need to be replaced... but not untill I was in my 30's or early 40's; I never expected to have to face this so early in my life. It's been very hard on myself and on my family. My husband wasn't even aware my heart issues were serious enough to ever require surrgery until a couple months ago. It's only a couple weeks away now and every day I wake up feeling more nervous about it than the day before. I'm hoping reading about and talking to others on this site who have been through the same situation will help me feel better.
