About Me (In My Own Words)
Now 71, I've known I had a valve issue since age 22. Around age 35, I learned I have mitral valve prolapse, and my regurgitation has progressed to severe. I'm scheduled for repair on June 15, 2107. I'm quite terrified, but also grateful that I live in a time when repair is possible. I also have a platelet disfunction, and will be receiving DDAVP at surgery time. I'm wondering how this will work with all the fluid retention I'll be experiencing. Has anyone else had this combination? I need all the prayers and support I can get! Thanks.
