About Me (In My Own Words)
I'm 41 and was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve and aortic stenosis in 2018. I started having symptoms about 3 months ago and have just been told that I'll need to have my valve replaced sometime in the next couple of months.
I'm pretty scared about the prospect of surgery and had hoped it wouldn't be necessary this soon, but I have been following your community for a while and it's a been a great help to read about your experiences and see that life goes on on the other side of surgery.
