About Me (In My Own Words)
Lived with a heart murmur for years before r was diagnosed in about 2012, when I was 70. I was referred to a cardiologist who kept an eye on it until early 2020 when it was decided I needed a valve replacement. I qualified for the TAVR option. which took place on 5/13/20. My valve has not worked perfectly, attracting particles to collect on it, requiring me to be on blood thinners permanently. Not a big deal since I am alive and can do all the things I should at my age, including golf, bowling and fishing.
