About Me (In My Own Words)
A year ago in May, at 62 years old I developed a block in my heart, I fainted going to work outside the door and had to have a pacemaker put in my chest. I knew at the time that I had severe aortic stenosis. In September 2011 I did pass the stress echo test.
April 30th 2012 I fainted again going to work, just inside the door at work. This time the cardiologist & surgeon said my stenosis was in the critical category and 3 days later performed the minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (pig's valve).
