About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve about 15-20 years ago. This past November my new cardiologist (we just moved to Asheville, NC) informed me it was time! I am looking at the May/June 2019 time frame for my valve replacement surgery. Currently I am educating myself on surgeons, surgical procedures, valve replacement types, etc. I would prefer to do a minimally invasive procedure with a biological valve replacement. Also may go out-of-town for the procedure. Any thoughts from the community? Thanks!
