Robert's Profile

Robert "Rob" Lile is about to undergo his 3rd heart surgery. He was born with an aortic stenosis. When he was 16 he had his first surgery which was to enlarge the aortic valve. He recuperated fine. When he was 26 he became very ill and was treated for "bronchitis" but something else seemed to be going on so he went to his childhood M.D who immediately sent him to St. Lukes hosital in Milwaukee,Wi. where he had an artificial valve replacement. The next day her suffered a stroke because of a blood clot. He was in rehab for about a month and relearned how to walk and talk. He has some residual weakness but not obvious to others. He is now scheduled for repair and replacement of his St. Jude mechanical valve and aorta on Dec. 17,2009 in Madison, Wi at the University Hospital. He will be admitted on Dec. 16 for pre op work.
