About Me (In My Own Words)
I went to see my oncologist in October because I have non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and I either get a scan or bloodwork each year. I was about to go to San Miguel Mexico for three weeks when she examined me. She listened to my heart and asked me if I was seen in cardiologist and I said no and she said what do you need to. I told her I was about to go to Mexico for three weeks and be concerned and she told me not to climb any mountains. She recommended a cardiovascular doctor at Emerald North Carolina. He did an EKG echocardiogram and stress test and said you need to go to Rex sooner rather than later . The process and I just had my valve repair completed on June 5, 2024. I’m still in the hospital but doing well.
