The Doctors in my hometown told me I had severe aortic stenosis but I could wait a year. I was asymptomatic so that is why they were waiting. I had my echocardiogram sent to Dr Gillinov and within two weeks my surgery was done. When Dr Gillinov reviewed my echo he said it wasn’t safe to wait because he was fearful of sudden death.
