About Me (In My Own Words)
Was diagnosed with a heart murmur a few years ago by gynecologist. I had an echo and they told me that it was minor and nothing to worry about. Then I few weeks ago I suffered a minor stroke that was originally thought to be a cardiac event. They did a Cath, Echo, and TEE which revealed no heart damage, but that the valve was severely diseased and would need to be replaced. Luckily, the stroke left no permanent damage, but I have to wait several weeks before I can have surgery to make sure my brain is healed. Surgery is set for August 26.
