About Me (In My Own Words)
I'm scheduled for Aortic Valve Replacement on Apr 11th. I was diagnosed with a bicuspid AV nine years ago with moderate stenosis. I had no changes until last fall, when I had a dramatic change and went to severe stenosis. I wish I had the surgery months ago as my symptoms are now pretty bad...extreme fatigue and shortness of breadth. I'm very anxious about the surgery, but excited about getting back my old quality of life where I worked out 5-6 times per week. I hope I have the patience that it is going to take.
