About Me (In My Own Words)
Hello,
Here's a bit about me:
I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve. While I knew that it would need to be replaced it turns out that this was my year! Thankfully, I was completely asymptomatic, so it was a challenge to wrap my head around the sense of urgency when I was told I needed the valve replacement done this spring or face the inevitable. My surgery went well, and I love my cardiac team. My cardiologist and surgeon are incredible! My biggest struggle is that I've had some road bumps and concerns during the recovery process and am hoping to figure it out so that I can get back to feeling as well as I did before surgery.
