My Apple Watch told me I was in afib on 12/11/20. I went to dr and ended up being rushed to hospital with afib and tachycardia. In some follow up testing they found that I had a bicuspid valve and one was leaking really bad and I had an aortic aneurysm. On 2/11/21 I had open heart surgery to replace a large piece of my aorta and replace one of my valves with a mechanical valve. Surgery went well however unfortunately I also suffered a major stroke that evening when I was in recovery. I am recovering well from the stroke and frustrated with my recovery from the heart surgery. I have been in afib since surgery and they have found a blood clotting disorder.
