I am a 42 year old single mother of my son Owen. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and have gone in for echo's thru out my life. I was very surprised to find out that I developed a aneurysm also. Unfortunately, I had to switch doctors many times and never got a full explanation of my condition. So in Jan 2013 I was shocked to open my mail containing my echo results to find out I have a 5.1 ascending aortic aneurysm. I immediately came to this site and have found a wonderful doctor, Doc. Jeffery Swanson of St. Vincent Portland OR. I am so happy to Adam for developing this site, without it I don't know how I would have made it thru the last couple of months. My surgery is set for May 21. The waiting is the worst! God bless to everyone and their families.
