About Me (In My Own Words)
So I am probably like many others, dealing with a prolapse mitral valve for quite some time. I get annual echocardiograms and a few MRI’s to keep check on the valve. I had been noticing over the last few months my workouts were getting tougher because I couldn’t catch my breath as fast. My echo in February show what I expected, it had worsened.
We have the decision to have it fixed. The plan is to repair and not replace so I am thankful for that. I am looking forward to how I will feel after surgery and recovery time. I am firefighter so I am a little anxious about being able to get back to work and perform at a high level.
I look forward to hearing from folks and reading about other’s adventures. Thanks for having me.
