About Me (In My Own Words)
Writing for hubby: After two rescheduling's due to rising COVID cases he had port mitral valve repair which was a minimally invasive procedure. Two days ICU and 2 days Telemetry Unit and home.
He has been home for three days, no painkillers, taking it slow and easy and only meds are Coumadin and Tylenol. Sore but not enough to use painkiller.
However, it seems that there was some nerve damage in his left leg due to the incision for the bypass machine. That is causing pain. He said it feels like someone is twisting his thigh...
Our question is: has anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it last and what did you do to relieve symptoms if anything. His surgeon and others said it should not last a long time but each person has a different time line. Three weeks to 6 months.
Thoughts?
