Had a echocardiogram done few weeks ago and it came back with mitral valve moderate to severe leak, I was diagnosed with a fib in 2015 and also had an ablation at that time, but was in non stop a fib so the ablation helped but now I am in and out of a fib for 4 years then when my echo came back with moderate to severe leak I am wondering if my a fib is caused from my mitral valve leaking. I am waiting for a consult for surgery.
