About Me (In My Own Words)
I was diagnosed with aortic stenosis, in 2005. Many years ago I had breast cancer, and received radiation, and years later, the outcome of that life saving radiation has now caught up with me, making my valve calcified. I have put this off for a long time, and finally decided that it's time to have this done, and I won't lie, I'm scared. I have done some research, and I've also read Adams book, which helped me a lot with answers to some of my questions. I do not have a date for surgery yet, but see the surgeon in a couple weeks, and from there he will set the date. I am thinking it will be in March some time. Just need some support and some reassurance from those that have had this procedure done.. This is all so overwhelming and frightening for me.
