There was never an indication of an issue, I played sports and was active my entire life. Once I was 50 my Mom starting pressing me to a establish a relationship with a cardiologist, as my father had heart issues late in life. After stress test, echo, and TEE the problem was diagnosed. I had a BAV and aortic aneurysm at a 4.5. Six weeks later I had the surgery, spent a week in hospital and five weeks at home before returning to work. Took another four months to feel normal. Doing great now. The lesson here, never argue with Dr. Mom.
