About Me (In My Own Words)
Hi everyone. I'm so glad to find this community online! Scheduled this upcoming Monday for minimally invasive Mitral Valve Repair but possibly could be replacement (mechanical). I'm 49 yrs. old, married with 2 teenage daughters in high school. I'm scared but trying to keep positive. Had pre-op testing yesterday & did not do well with die contrast CAT scan. Had delayed allergic reaction which was angioedema (lip swelling) & severe nausea/vomiting. Anyone else have this happen? Diagnosed in 2015 with moderate regurgitation. Jan. 2018 went to moderate to severe. May 2018 severe regurgitation. Been a long road to get here as I've been to 3 cardiologists. Looking forward to learning more about others experience.
