waiting on my surgery date. I have a pre-op appointment coming up on June 23. I have experienced shortness of breath since my first bout of covid in 2022. Had covid again in 2023. I'm 67 and I thought it was just aging. But I saw my GP in January 2025, who referred me to a cardiologist. I was gobsmacked to receive a diagnosis of severe aortic regurgitation. I will be receiving a biological pig tissue valve probably this summer.
UPDATE: my surgery date is August 15, 2025. Just found out yesterday!
