About Me (In My Own Words)
Lois has a history of two prior bypass surgeries. She is scheduled for a very high risk procedure called aortic valve (AV) and root replacement at the Cleveland Clinic on Dec. 18. She had a congenitally too small AV, so the root of the valve needs to be trimmed out to place a properly sized valve for her. The root replacement adds substantial risk to the AV replacement itself. I will provide updates here after the surgery.
