About Me (In My Own Words)
My name is Lindsey and I'm a 20 year old college student at Pitt studying psychology. About 3 weeks ago I was unexpectedly diagnosed with severe (4+) aortic regurgitation after experiencing chest pain and impaired physical activity. I was told 3 weeks ago that I need my valve replaced within a month, two tops. I have chosen a tissue valve replacement with Dr. Singer at Lehigh Valley Hospital. My surgery is now 3 days away and I'm trying to prepare for it.
