About Me (In My Own Words)
I had triple bypass surgery and mitral valve replacement 10 months ago. Everything went well then I got a severe infection. My heart surgeon Dr. Russo had me come to his office he cut my chest open in his office without anything for pain. I was sent right to the hospital and was there for 12 days. I was put on a wound vac which I had from July until the first week of November.
In December I took a bad fall in my driveway and feel face first and my chest hit the pavement really hard. I went to the ER where they said everything looked fine.
I have a couple soft spots where my incision is. I feel like something heavy sets on my chest. Recently I have been having stabbing pain where my incision is. I have an appointment with my PCP Tuesday and I will mention it to him. I may end up going to Erie, Pa to see my cardiologist to see what he says.
I had an echocardiogram in February and nothing was said to be wrong.
Wish me luck.
