About Me (In My Own Words)
Cardiologist's office called to say it has been more than a year since I have been in, and need to come in. I'm avoiding it. No "logical" reason to, except realizing the valve is finite, and I am not really sure I'd be willing to do it again. I did very well, but I don't deal with this stuff well. Since that time, becoming diabetic, and having thyroid cancer, I'm old enough to consider there's a limit to what I would be willing to go through. Selfish? Don't have a clue. Gonna die anyhow. However I still occasionally take flowers to the nurses' station and leave a note of ongoing appreciation for their wonderful care.
