About Me

In 2003, after many years of palpitations, I finally went to a cardiologist and was diagnosed with not only supraventricular tachycardia, but also mildly insufficient aortic and mitral valves, a bicuspid aortic valve, and a 4.5cm aneurysm of the aortic root. Other than that, I feel fine! We've been checking my pipes and valves every 3-12 months. Mild has turned into moderate, and the aneurysm has increased to 4.7cm. I read Adam's book, have done quite a lot of Internet research (especially at major hospital web sites) and would like to lurk here until such time as I learn I need surgery. Then I'll start my journal ...
