I am a career firefighter and competitive Ironman triathlete.
During a preventative wellness program at work in May 2025, it was found that I had bicuspid aortic valve and ascending aortic aneurysm.
I am scheduled to have surgery January 14th, 2026 and if the valve sparing measures are not possible, the Ross Procedure will be used.
