About Me (In My Own Words)
I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve that, after 58 years, needed to be replaced as well as have my aortic root graft due to an aneurysm caused by the faulty valve. I had my surgery done at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Post surgery my recovery has been good. I do have leaking around the new valve at the 1 o’clock and 5 o’clock position post surgery that will be monitored. I am so thankful to my family for the unwavering support through the entire journey.
