About Me (In My Own Words)
On October 6, 2015, I had my aortic valve replaced with a tissue valve. It was a minimally invasive surgery- performed with a Robotic procedure with a small incision between my ribs. Dr. Madani and UCSD Sulpizo were pioneers in this area and had lots of experience with this procedure. Doing great 5 years later. I had a quick recovery and was racing my sailboat 3 months later. I was 73 years old!
