About Me (In My Own Words)
I recently was diagnosed by my cardiologist with moderately severe mitral regurgitation, though the rest of my heart function and structure is fine (except borderline mildly enlarged left atrium). I am learning through reading, and considering surgical options to repair the valve, and prevent future ventricle enlargement. I am 60, healthy, and wish to stay that way as long as possible.
