About Me (In My Own Words)
My story is still being written. I had congenital defects repaired as a young adult in 1989 and have enjoyed an active, and wonderful life so far despite some leaky valves. Covid was not kind to me, and my heart has suffered damage. Despite significant recovery after cardiac rehab, now 5 years past those dark days I need a tune-up. The next step will likely be sternotomy part 2.
