born with bicuspid aortic valve and over the years developed an aortic aneurysm. I had my first surgery in March 2012; aortic root replacement/valve sparing procedure. I had my second surgery about five weeks later; my aortic valve failed and had to be replaced. six months post op, was back in the hospital with an infection, almost had to have another replacement...after second surgery Starnes was convinced I needed a pacemaker. I kept blocking down, but after two weeks in the hospital and two pacemaker procedures canceled, it was time to go home. I am doing well today, but suffer from discomfort in upper back right shoulder and neck. after second surgery and to this day, I have very sharp pains in my mid back, when my rib cage expands from a deep breath it hurts like hell. also a lot cracking and popping when I roll my shoulders and move my ribs.. anyone experience this sharp pain in their back of sternatomy?
