Born with aortic valve deformation . Unicuspid valve. 8 yrs old aortic valve too narrow so ohs to widen valve.
12 years old regurgitation was noted, monitored through life.
Last three years lots of symptoms, now aortic regurgitation severe, also stenosis. Dilatation of heart, aortic root (5.1cm) and also dilated ascending aorta.
OHS 25/2/23 (48 yrs old) to replace aortic root, aortic valve ( tissue valve chosen) and replaced ascending aorta. Now recovering slowly - its harder than I expected.
