About Me (In My Own Words)
I had a successful Ross Procedure done on 7/31. Dr Malaisrie is excellent and the Doctors, nurses and medical personnel at Northwestern Medical were always caring and empathetic.
I am glad it was done there.
Took a couple extra days to get home, 6 days total at hospital, but once out and walking felt better every day. Was lucky enough that the sternotomy didn't hurt with the exception of sneezes and coughing.
Back at work and slowly ramping up activities under supervised PT.
Prior to PT was already walking a few miles a day. Looking forward to active sports soon.
